The Jacob Edward Collection's Story
How it all Started
Hi! So, quick story.Rewinding to 5th grade, I submitted a drawing of a sailboat, which placed me amongst six other young artists who were chosen to design and paint a local highway billboard sign. In the ninth grade, the LHS student body voted my folder design, out of 10 others, to be the following years’ high school folder cover. That was pretty cool.
It’s our nature to wonder what our purpose here is. What gift will take us where we are supposed to be in life? I was to afraid to pursue the title of “starving artist,” so I passed on going to an art college. But “art,” has followed me all of my life, whether I was looking for it or not. Now, at my ripe old age, I have finally stopped avoiding what comes naturally to me, “creating."
The Jacob Edward Collection, was created in memory of Jacob Edward Graham Cooper and is a forever learning and growing journey. As the path continues, I intend to expand into all kinds of varieties of creations, various mediums, from beading to casting metal to wood working. You never know what you may find at The Jacob Edward Collection in the future, so stay tuned ~
